Why tallow?
Tallow has been used in soap making for centuries. It makes a hard, long-lasting bar with a rich, creamy lather, and it is the heart of everything we make. We render ours slowly and carefully, because good soap starts with good ingredients.
Handmade, with the glycerin left in
Glycerin is a natural by-product of soap making, and in many commercial bars it is taken out. We leave it in every bar of our handmade range. The result is a bar that lathers beautifully, rinses cleanly and feels lovely to use.
Unscented, essential oil and fragrance oil options
Many of our soaps are completely unscented or scented only with essential oils. Our nostalgic scents, such as Musk Stick and Bubble Gum, use fragrance oils, and each product page tells you exactly how the bar is scented. If you prefer to keep things simple, an unscented bar is a lovely place to start.

Every bar is made by hand in small batches here in Australia, and we keep our packaging simple. As with any skincare product, we suggest checking the ingredients list if you have any allergies or sensitivities.

Keeping it simple (unscented): Try the Just Tallow Soap 6%, the Just Tallow Soap 6% Charcoal Unscented or the Nettle Tallow Soap 6%. The Gentle Soothing Soap Bar Unscented is another fragrance-free option.
Fresh and zesty: The Lemon Myrtle bar is bright and citrusy, and our Turmeric and Citrus bar is scented with sweet orange, Valencia and lime essential oils.
Warm and woody: The Sandalwood bar has a warm, rich scent, and our Heritage range (Sage and Fir Needle) is earthy and fresh from the bush.
Soft and floral: Try the Lavender bar or the Calm & Comfort Soap Bar, lightly scented with lavender essential oil.
