The Tallow Shampoo & Conditioner Bar is a conditioning-forward, all-in-one hair bar formulated specifically for dry, mature, and low-porosity hair. At 8% superfat, it cleanses gently while leaving behind a nourishing layer of skin-compatible oils that soften the hair shaft and support scalp health.

Grass-fed tallow forms the heart of this bar. Rich in stearic, oleic, and palmitic acids — the same fatty acids found in healthy scalp sebum — tallow helps the scalp regulate itself naturally over time. Paired with avocado, macadamia, and castor oils, plus a generous measure of shea butter, this bar delivers a lather that conditions as it cleanses.

The essential oil blend of Rose Geranium and Palmarosa adds a gentle, calming scent while supporting scalp comfort — ideal for those managing dryness, sensitivity, or the effects of hard water.

How to Use: Lather gently at the scalp only and allow the rinse water to carry the lather through the lengths. This bar is intentionally low-cleansing — your hair may need 2–4 weeks to adjust if transitioning from conventional shampoo. Allow the bar to dry fully between uses on a soap dish or rack.

The Story Behind Just Love Tallow

Just Love Tallow began at our homestead in regional Victoria, surrounded by open paddocks, old sheds, campfires, and a slower way of life. I’m David Hubble, and what started as simple soap making at home slowly grew into a business built on traditional methods, simple ingredients, and honest products.

After becoming frustrated with modern skincare and endless synthetic ingredients, I found myself drawn back to something much older — tallow. Nourishing, time-tested, and beautifully simple. I began experimenting with small batches, learning traditional soap making and refining recipes that genuinely felt good to use every day.

Today, I still render all the tallow myself here at the homestead, slowly and carefully, because quality starts from the very beginning. Every soap, balm, and cream is made in small batches using purposeful ingredients that have stood the test of time.

Just Love Tallow is really about returning to something more grounded. Slower living. Handmade products. Traditional craftsmanship. We’re proud to make skincare the old-fashioned way — carefully, thoughtfully, and with heart.
